In May the Band visited
After a Friday evening flight from London Heathrow we arrived at our hotel base in Mellieha, The following day we were treated to a typical Maltese lunch by our hosts at the L'Isle Adam Band Club. After sightseeing in Rabat we returned to the Club to give an open concert on the Club's terrace followed by a Barbecue dinner.
On Sunday morning we gave a public street performance outside the Club before traveling to St Julians in the afternoon for a performance at the Bay Street Complex.
The following day, after a relaxing morning, we went to Medina, a medieval walled town, once the capital of Malta, for a performance in Mesquita Square. Beiing a totally enclosed square and fully exposed to the sun, the Band unusually donned a variety of headgear for safety!
The morning of the final day, Tuesday, was spent on catching up with sightseeing or just lounging on the beach at Melliha, followed by a smooth flight home in the afternoon.
